About

Multi-disciplinary, multi-medium, multi-talented…

Please, don’t make me choose! If you haven’t noticed yet, I have my hands in a lot of different pots. I’m a theater artist who wants to build, a builder who wants to exhibit fine art, and an artist who loves the collaboration of costume design. For years, I kept all of my identities separate: designing under my own name, making art under Found and Fauna, and building crafts with my business partner at Craftiga, LTD. But the pandemic brought Craftiga to a halt, and theater to a halt, and I was able to focus on art. When the world started moving again, I didn’t want to give any of it up. So I’m bringing my passions home under one roof, and all under my name.

When you hire me, you get a bit of everything, and I don’t think that’s a bad thing at all.

My mission is to create art that brings joy and shares the stories of our shared humanity. Compassion, kindness, and activism are the pillars of my practice. Theatrical design, sculpture, painting, and craftwork are all practices I use to pursue this goal.

How I work

I am a designer, artist, and maker. I specialize in costume design while also working in scenic, sculpture, painting, illustration, and fabrication. I work with theater companies, film projects, and private clients to design and build the creations that they dream of. Being freelance allows me to take on the projects that interest me the most, from small dye projects for brides, to large armor builds for universities, to designing a show that inspires me. Please reach out with your cosplay needs, costume construction, and magic trick questions! I’d love to hear from you and start our collaboration!

I received my MFA from Northwestern University. I’m an artistic associate of Cloudgate Theatre and an adjunct teaching artist at DePaul University. You can find me most days working in my Evanston studio surrounded by paints, pencils, fabrics, stacks of books, a warm pot of tea, and my dogs.

I love challenges and thinking outside the box.  I look forward to discussing your next project with you!
